GREEN WEDNESDAYS
Every Wednesday, at the Fairfax Farmers Market, we celebrate the small steps we can all take toward treading more lightly on the earth. MFM is proud to partner with Sustainable Fairfax to empower Fairfax residents to "think global, act local" and of course eat local.
Ways you can participate in Green Wednesdays:
• Grow food, buy local food, and pay attention to how far your food traveled.
• Bring your own bags to the farmers market, and other places where you shop.
• Ride your bike, use mass transit and walk. (Many thanks to Sustainable Fairfax and the Town of Fairfax for providing bike racks at the Fairfax Farmers Market)
• Turn off the TV and computer in the evenings.
• Get to know your neighbors.
• Buy used & decomposable products.
• Shop Local, Compost, Recycle, Buy Green.
• VOLUNTEER TO HELP!!
Make each Wednesday a Green Wednesday. Green Wednesdays at the Fairfax Farmers Market Sustainable Fairfax
An ongoing thank you to Sustainable Fairfax for joining us at the Fairfax Farmers Market. We wish you great success in your efforts to make Fairfax a plastic bag free town. And hope that the awareness raised each week at Green Wednesdays, will translate to everyday of the week.
